I hadn't heard of the 13 year old girl being stoned to death and that makes me sick to my stomach. As for the book being advertised by scholastic - when I was in about year 6, the coolest thing ever was to read that book by "dolly doctor" - I was waiting for a doctor's appointment yesterday and was killing time in a second hand book shop. It was full of shit, and it's what we used to believe. Completely blindly of course, but we genuinely believed this book had all the answers.

This week has been a week of decisions for me, and with making these decisions has come clarity, fear and a new-found strength (let's hope that one sticks around!)

Sonia - totally agree with you that the dress reports are annoying. Who actually gives a rats? I'm pretty well over the US election. To be honest, I'd be far more excited if China was holding elections.

I was more interested in the way Obama symbolises the end of white male supremacy, than her dress, infact who cares what she was wearing.?
Unfortunately some people love that stuff and who's fat and who's dating. It's all in those popular insipid magazines that obviously make alot of money or else they would not exist anymore.

This week I have been frustrated my the media's portayal of Michelle Obama. I am sick of hearing about her style and fashion. If you google her the first headline is "Michelle Obama's election outfit gets dressing down". Anyone else annoyed? There are bigger headlines to report ... maybe the 50,000 people displaced in Nigeria due to flooding should have precedence over Michelle's "ludicrous dress"?????
